(Sports Network) - The Carolina Hurricanes will try to complete a home-and- home sweep of the Maple Leafs tonight, when they visit Toronto's Air Canada Centre.

Carolina hosted the Maple Leafs on Sunday and posted a 6-4 decision for its second victory in three games. Toronto, meanwhile, had won two straight and four of its previous five games before the setback in Raleigh.

Chad LaRose picked up the game-winning goal in the third period of Sunday's test at the RBC Center.

Eric Staal, Ray Whitney and Tuomo Ruutu each contributed a goal and one assist for the Hurricanes, who have won three of five. Dwight Helminen, in his fourth career game, recorded his first career points with a goal and a helper.

Michael Leighton picked up the win with a 29-save performance and improved to 3-1-0 this season.

Mikhail Grabovski netted a pair of goals for the Maple Leafs, while Ian White and Niklas Hagman also tallied. The setback came just one day after Toronto rallied for five goals in a span of 5:21 in the third period to defeat the New York Rangers, 5-2.

Curtis Joseph remained winless on the year after allowing five goals on 29 shots. Joseph, the backup to No. 1 netminder Vesa Toskala, is 0-2-1 in four games this season.

Toskala is 5-2-2 on the year and is likely to get the start in tonight's contest.

The Maple Leafs are 2-2-2 in front of their home crowd this season, while Carolina is 4-1-2 as the visiting club.

Carolina has done well against the Maple Leafs recently, winning two straight, four of five and five of the last eight meetings between the clubs. However, Toronto has won two of three and four of the previous six matchups at the Centre.
