VANCOUVER - Off-season pickups Michael Cammalleri and Curtis Glencross are paying big dividends for the Calgary Flames.

Cammalleri had the first three-goal performance of his NHL career and Glencross fired the winner in the third period Thursday as the Flames beat the Vancouver Canucks 4-3.

Glencross, with points in six of his last seven games, stripped the puck from defender Alex Edler, broke into the clear and beat Canuck netminder Curtis Sanford with a high backhand.

"It was a hell of a goal by Glencros

CALGARY - Rene Bourque and Curtis Glencross were brought to Calgary over the summer to boost the Flames' secondary scoring. So far, they're delivering.

Bourque scored twice Tuesday night while Glencross contributed a goal and two assists to lead Flames to a 6-2 victory over the Los Angeles Kings.

Centre Craig Conroy (three assists) also had a big night offensively as the Flames' third line played as if it was the team's top unit.

Conroy knows the more they the rest of the team can produce, the less the tea

CALGARY - Jiri Hudler has had a hot hand lately as the Detroit Red Wings continued their fine play with a 5-2 win over the Calgary Flames on Saturday.

Hudler notched the game-winning goal and had an assist as the Wings won their fifth straight game to improve their record to 14-2-3.

"It's a bit of luck," said Hudler, who jumped off the bench as the extra attacker and fired a feed from Henrik Zetterberg into the top corner over Calgary goalie Miikka Kiprusoff's outstretched glove at 11:21 of the third. "It was a great p

DENVER - Miikka Kiprusoff and the Calgary Flames are having a lot of fun at the Colorado Avalanche's expense.

Kiprusoff made 18 saves for his second shutout of the season, and Daymond Langkow scored his fifth goal in Calgary's 1-0 victory over Colorado on Thursday night.

The Flames started the month with five losses in their first eight games, including a 6-1 setback in San Jose on Nov. 13. They came back with a 4-1 home win against Colorado on Tuesday night and followed that with the shutout Thursday night.

CALGARY - The Calgary Flames were determined to find a way to turn their rough November around, no matter how hard Peter Budaj made it for them.

The Flames overcame a stubborn 47-save performance by Budaj and earned a 4-1 win over the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday.

Calgary (10-8-1) needed the victory to start salvaging what's been a November to forget. The Flames are now 4-5 this month and had lost five of their last seven heading into the Tuesday's game, including an embarrassing 6-1 defeat in San Jose last week.
