Wasn't just that Billy. The Philly stream wasn't up until halfway through the first, neither was the Tampa game. Even then, until the second period the Philly game was unwatchable. Just needs to be a bit more reliable, especially with the competition.

Hope it's a lot better tonight!

billy said:The second we saw resources filling up we deployed additional resources. You should have maybe noticed about 30 seconds in service interruption (if you did). Are you still having this issue?

[quote=CommandCentre]It strikes me that come the busy nights (like tonight) you don't really expect to have all these people online at once. Surely this is to be expected? I've had a quick look around the site and none of the games are working without almost unwatchable amounts of buffering.

Obviously if this was a free-to-view service then i'd take it without a thought, but we're paying a considerable amount of money for it and i really, REALLY hope nights like this don't happen too often. Clearly better servers are needed!

That was definitely our fault - The back up machine for that game didn't work very well and we had to scramble to get the original feed back up - We apologize for that. The two issues are definitely not in the same ball park though as it's a rare occurance.

[quote=billy]I'd recommend checking out the feeds on a different computer just to see if it's the internet or the computer.

It's me again. I check my problem on a different computer and the situation is the same. But its a one thing that i think it's strange. I tried to watch your streams on different times of day. And at morning and early afternoon everything works perfect, but later and especially at evening and night the problems comes back... Necessary live games are at night CET. My bandwidth test and ping test show the same similar results all day, even at night my bandwidth is faster... Why my Bandwidth in use that i see in statistics show very different values, and at night is so low? Maybe someone can help me or know what to do...

Did anyone fix that problem with swedish users? You said it was suppose to be fixed but now even on the HD stream it stops after a few minutes and i tried both the penguins and calgary stream, earlier i had no problem with the HD hell even hdplus worked two days ago, what is the problem!? Seems like the website can't handle when there are too many users using the streams :/ baaad

That issue was fixed as far as I was told - I spoke with several people from sweden and they also said that it works fine for them.

The amount of people watching no longer has anything to do with the way the streams perform after our upgrade.

...and again we find ourselves in the same position. Do you not expect the traffic? You ought to be prepared for at least 90% of the paid subscribers being online at the same time, and you rarely are. Every click on this site gives me the 'servers are overloaded, bear with us' message. There are only 276 people online!

As for the streams, Philly vs Boston is HQ only until mid second period and even then the HD is choppy. For $100 a year, it's not really good enough. It does seem to be happening quite often too, get it sorted boys! You seem like a decent bloke Billy, and i'm sure there are some reasons for it being such, but for the amount of money we pay there ought to be fixes.

Agree 100% The streams are getting worse and worse. I know it is not my ADSL speed (I have 8MB connection and can watch ESPN360 NHL, NFL Network and games in HD perfectly fine). Last night I could not watch Boston/Philly in HD and other games were giving lots of 'servers are overloaded'. Luckily I have a subsription to ESPN360 and could watch it fine there.

Today I'm struggling to watch the archived Red Wings game without it stuttering. Not happy.

The Admins should use a messenger like icq or msn too talk to the people who have this issues. Communication during this forum is not fast enough to stop the problems.
