    Downloading streams first?
Hey all -- is there a way to download the video stream so that I don't have to buffer? I'm on a sub 1MPS connection and I would like to leave the game downloading overnight so that I can watch without constant buffering interruptions that render the game unwatchable.

    thank you

    I'm on a mac - os latest, etc ..

I've tried with the Flip For Mac - save as source - but that kind of works, but there is no way to track the download or know when its ready, etc ...

    Is there a another way?

    thnx

Unfortunately at the moment there's no such feature. It is something we're working on and are hoping will be ready for the start of next season.

That would be super for us with slow connections

Try downloading Replay Media Catcher. I downloaded a game using it a few months ago, and it worked like a charm. You'll want to find a full version though, since the trial won't allow you to download the entire game. I'd post a link, but I don't know what the rule is with posting links to downloads.

    Go ahead

The issue with Replay Media Catcher is if you're not able to get a smooth stream because of lack of bandwidth, that's how it will download it too.

It doesn't save a file but if you open the stream direct in quicktime you can pause and let it load til the cows come home and play it from the start fully loaded. Been doing this on archives since last year.

Doesn't work on live streams - it fills up the buffer but messes up with artefacting skipping and sound issues if you let it buffer too much.

a download feature would be wonderful as I have a 12 hour time difference anyway so I am doing the archive thing or tweaking my schedule to be home in the mornings.

Looking forward to news on this

I have done the archive thing, opening the feed and stopping play to let it download the entire game and then watch it. It usually works but on occasion has burped ... would be nice to have the option to just download that puppy. Rather than whine or complain

how can i do this? i have let the archives sit for a while, but it doesn't seem to help with the buffering at all. i've tried the quicktime trick too but i keep getting an error invalid url message. i really need something to help me watch these archives before the season starts.
