Hey, this is the official thread for the XBMC Hockeystreams Plugin.

It was based on the earlier Hockeystreams plugin/script from Fear.

    Installation:
The XBMC Hockeystreams Plugin is available in the main XBMC repository, and can be downloaded from within XBMC.

    Features:
    - Login, generate IP exception from within XBMC
    - Access Today's Games, Last 15 Games, Archives by Date and Team
    - at least Premium and WMV Streams, more coming...

    Version Information:
    - XBMC 11/Eden Official Supported, current version 2.0.0
-- Supports Premium and WMV streams
    -- Experimental support for iStream
    - XBMC 10.1/Dharma Official Supported, current version 1.8.0
-- Supports Premium and WMV streams

    Experimental Information:
    - XBMC 11 has experimental iStream support
    -- enable in plugin menu
-- exposes roku/iStreams with variable bandwidth streaming
-- any playback issues are XBMCs fault - DO NOT COMMENT/FILE BUGS AGAINST PLAYBACK QUALITY here. These are XBMC issues, not plugin issues.

This way there be dragons: https://github.com/jlongman/xbmc-hockeystreams-plugin
I can not hand-hold you with getting alpha or beta quality sw from github. Sorry, I'm too busy, and this is a volunteer work.

    Known Issues
Geexbox users have complained about an issue but no logs have been provided yet. Please ensure you have a Succeeded message after logging in.

    ChangeLog
    version 2.0.0
    - xbmc 11/eden support
    - expose istream feeds using an experimental menu option (may not work)
    version 1.8.0
    - hides sensitive information in the logs
    - i18n improvements
    - refactor in preparation for eden
    version 1.7.1
    - fixes RSS feed format changes
    version 1.7.0
    - iniitial release

    Reporting Issues
Indicate what version of XBMC you are using, what version of the plugin you are running, and if you installed it using the Main XBMC repo (or by hand).

Please turn on the debug logging in both the Hockeystreams plugin settings menu and in the XBMC System settings menus and put the xbmc.log file on pastebin.ca (or somewhere else). DO NOT PUT IT IN A POSTING. It will be too big, and if it's not too big it doesn't have enough information to be useful to me.

NOTE version 1.7.1 exposes your password in the log file! Please find some way to send me the log another way, or encrypt it and PM me the passphrase. Version 1.8.0 hides credentials in the logs.

The xbmc log file is in ~/Library/Logs/xbmc.log on OSX, and supposed to be in $HOME/.xbmc/temp/xbmc.log on Linux, I don't know on Windows.

    Very nice.

Any idea about widescreen HD streams? If not through the XBMC player, through browser automation?

@zeb_z: Eden (XBMC 11, not released yet) has preliminary support for HTTP Live Streaming aka roku or iStreams. Pretty buggy from my experience. I pushed my alpha-quality version of the plugin to the git repo.

I haven't looked at browser automation. Probably non-trivial given login requirements, platform differences, but I'm a noob xbmc plugin developer.

I just tried this plugin with Geexbox 2.0 (XBMC) and when I try to login I get a 'script failed: plugin.hockeystreams.com' notification. I can browse all of the streams but get the same error if I try to play one.
Am I missing something here or does this plugin no longer work?

    Thanks!

I haven't found the problem yet but I'll keep looking and post if I find something. Hopefully the dev will chime in with some insight.
