    Infrastructure Upgrades - 10/07/2009
For the past or so week, We have been closely monitoring traffic, bandwidth and resource usage. A couple of days we exceeded our projections for usage and with the gathered data, We will be performing infrastructural upgrades to our network.

We will be adding an additional 300Mbps node, a long with several new servers for load balancing.

Several people experienced some issues due to congestion and we are glad to inform you that starting on the evening of 10/07/2009, These issues will no longer be present.

If you have questions, concerns, or comments please let us know and we'll accommodate your requests accordingly.

We thank every one for their support and hope for a season full of success!

    Thank you,
    HockeyStreams.com Staff

I really hope this will clear the issues I've had so far, I've watched 2 games in HD+ and both of them kept buffering often or were unwatchable. 300mbps is 166 users watching HD+, is it really enough?

If you add 300 to the current set up it would provide about 1TB of BW - It will be enough for now and upgrading the nodes isn't as tough as adding hardware.

This site seems like it is expanding a lot, and getting many new members. Considering the alternative I can see how the demand for this site exists. You've recently upgraded quality of the streams. I am new here, but I wonder. Will this site be able to keep up with the growing demand ? Will the distribution system that you use be able to meet the growing demand ? These are questions that I ask myself. I'll be extending my membership soon for some additional time. To at least give the chance to see for myself how some of my questions pan out. Of course I wish the best for the site, and hope they can keep up with the demand. Or maybe drop back a little in stream quality on the high end to reduce the load on the system some. Anyway we will see. I hope the site crew is up to the challenge !

    Hey,
Our infrastructure is extremely scalable. To expand the capacity is usually a 24 hour turn around time. Which is really good when we're talking about 300mbit and several additional servers being added to the clusters

We'll definitely be able to keep up with the demand.

Good to know. The service I've experienced so far is not up to par as I would have expected. I hope the habs' stream (hd+) tonight will be fine! I'll keep you updated.

Very nice. I could watch HD+ yesterday without problems - maybe a result of the infrastructure improvement?

Reporting my tonight's experience, HD+ was flawless, not a single buffer, lag, stutter or anything, A1!!!
Hope it's going to keep going this way!!!!And I hope the habs will NOT continue this way
