    2011-2012 News and Changes
    Greetings,
The NHL Season is just over 2 months away, and we've already begun preparing stand-out features.

    Upcoming Changes:

    - We will be switching away from Silverlight streaming on the client end - and with the recent updates to Flash, we have decided that it would be in the best interest of our customers to begin using Flash for streaming.

    - We will begin testing TRUE 720P Flash streams during Pre-Season.

    - We will be adding support for Android. (To go along with iOS).

    - We will be redoing the mobile website to make it a native webapp on each supported device.

    - Like always, every televised Pre-Season game will be shown.

    - We are recreating our network infrastructure to allow for easy scaling, and to support over 50,000 simultaneous 720p connections.

    - Available connect locations will be:
    i) North America East - Montreal
ii) North America West - San Jose
iii) North America Central - Chicago
iv) Europe - Netherlands, Sweden, Russia
    v) Shortly after the season begins, we will be adding a location in Oceania (To be determined).

    - We will not be redoing the website design like we have the past several seasons, but we will be making prominent changes to the Game chat feature.

    - We are employing additional support staff that will monitor the Forums, as well as suppor tickets 24/7.

    - If paying via credit card - you can request for the service to automatically renew.

and there are plenty more changes that we will announce closer to season time.

Please note that the prices for next season will be growing by at least 10% to accomodate these changes. The price increase will be in effect starting September 18th.

HELL YEAH! Exactly what I asked for all last season. Flash + Android. Perhaps an Android Tablet instead of a laptop for Christmas. I hope the quality is top notch! I'll probably for the entire season this year instead of here and there.

Yep Encoding wise it should stay the same, only the delivery method of the streams will change.

BEING A GREY BEARD, I DO NOT KNOW WHAT MOST OF THESE UPGRADES REFER TO AND SO CANNOT COMMENT ON WHETHER THEY ARE WELCOME OR NOT.

BUT WHAT I DO KNOW, IS THAT I HAD JUST GROWN TO ENJOY THE SILVERLIGHT PRODUCT, I NEVER LIKE TO SEE AN INCREASE IN FEES FOR ANY REASON AND I HAVE STILL NOT BEEN ABLE TO WATCH ANY HOCKEY THIS OFF SEASON EVEN THOUGH I HAD PAID FOR 12 MONTHS SUBSCRIPTION.

It will technically be the same feed (same bitrate/res), but be delivered via Flash (should get rid of the jerkiness seen fully).

As for your last comment, We had a crash on our main machine for on-demand feeds and it currupted the whole cluster. We are still attempting to salvage at least part of the on-demand feeds - We have a redundancy plan going forward.

    Thanks

I have sent you this email three times with no response.

    Hey Billy,

Last year I paid $99.99 when existing members were suppose to pay $74.99. When I brought this to your attention you said you would credit my account for $25. It's time for me to renew and I wanted to verify that if I use ****ypal that I should pay $69.49 for 12 months ($89.99 + 5% - $25). Below is my last transaction.

    EDIT: Removed personal information
